Dinner July 4th

We'd never made our own pasta before, but we'd gotten some beets at the farmer's market and had a recipe for beet pasta, so...

We made the dough, rolled it out, sliced it thin like linguine or something...

Boiled it up, strained it...

Mixed in some olive oil, garlic, parsley, tomatoes, salt & pepper...

...and served it with some grated parmesan & buttered toast. Awesome.
