
Book #39: The Red Pony (1933) by John Steinbeck, finished 10/10. Very bleak, and not what I expected (in retrospect, I don't know what my expectations were thinking) but one of those books that gets more interesting upon reflection. As my sister suggested, would probably mean more to me if I knew more about Steinbeck. Maybe someday that'll happen.

i performed a re-enactment of the horse tracheotomy scene in english class. i think i got a D or an F on the project. my partner and i never met before the re-enactment. i wrote the script, he made the props (ketchup, cardboard horse, plastic knife).
