52 Books in 52 Weeks, Part 41

My New Year's resolution was to read a book a week.

Book #41: The Moon is Down (1942) by John Steinbeck, finished sometime in October. This seemed different from his other short novels to me, maybe because it's the only one I've read that is set during a war, maybe because it's the only one that seemed overtly political, or maybe just because of the body count. Anyway, I liked it. This concludes the short Steinbeck novels in my possession, and I've still got a baker's dozen books to go. I knew there was a reason I kept buying Sue Graftons at the ThriftTown. R is for Retard.
