My New Year's resolution was to read a book a week.Book #42: The Professor and the Madman (1998) by Simon Winchester, finished 11/12. When they say "madman," you think "madman," which is, understandably I think, what I thought, but in this case, the guy turned out to be really, irrefutably, much crazier than I even expected from their titular use of the word. Wow.
