The Aeronaut's Windlass (2015) by Jim Butcher
Stalking an old friend on Goodreads wasn't something I really intended to do, but by the time I realized what I was doing, it was too late and I had already noticed this book. I mean, I know what it looks like, and it is what it looks like: six hundred pages that go down exactly like cheap beer on a hot day. Flying ships, giant bugs, talking cats - I'm not exactly proud of having read this, but I won't lie and say I regret it.
